Chapter Three.
She had maked her decision. She would go. Nela, her grandmother, had always told her to follow her heart and dreams, and never listen to others when it was her life was at stake.
She packed her bag, it was not so big nor the smallest, but she did only packed what she thought would be the most necessary.
Suddenly, she realized she still wearied her dress. If she was going out into the forest, wearing a dress would not be too good. Then she remembered that one of her “servants” where a young man, just two or three years older than she was, and his room was just one staircase down.
When she had packed everything, but food and clothes, she sneaked down silently and carefully opened his wardrobe and started poke around after what she sought. Finally, without waking him up, she pulled down one pair of trousers and one shirt. One shirt and one pair of trousers she put on herself. Then she took his jacket and his boots and sneaked out just as silently as when she went in.

Ninive felt a little bit awkward. Hector was asleep, and she couldn’t fail to notice that he was pretty good-looking. He was snoring, and she couldn’t resist giggles. He turned and she went silent. She didn’t want to wake him up when it had taken three hours to finally fall asleep. She felt really sorry for him, when he told her about his village. Ninive had never had a family, so she didn’t knew how it felt like, losing all the people he had ever known.
An hour or two later, when the sun started to rise, Hector finally woke up.
“God morning Sunshine” Ninive said cheerfully. At first, Hector just stared at her, as she didn’t know who she was, but then a light of remembering lit up his eyes and he gave her a smile that warmed her heart.
“God morning” he replied. “Slept well?”
“Yes, I have. And you?”
“Nah, okay.”
Ninive started root in her bag after some bread and cheese, and Hector started making some tea over the glowing fire.
“What shall we do today?” he asked after a moment of silent.
“I seriously don’t know.” She stopped. “But we might just go hunting or something. I don’t know.”
He looked at her in silence but she didn’t meet his eyes. Okay, she was obliviously the leader, but she still didn’t know what to do.
“We can go to some village and…and ask a Wisdom in one of the village. She might help us?”
This time it was her turn to look at him, but after a while, she gave in.
“Alright, you’re right. We pack and leave. But we will need horses.”
“How will we get them? I mean, we have no money, and they are one of the most expensive things you can buy by now!”
“I don’t know. Maybe we’ll steal some.”
He looked at her in surprise. “Are you crazy? We can’t just walk into a city and steal two horses! They will hunt us to death!”
“Leave that to me.” Was the last thing Ninive said before she started packing their bags again.

Chapter Four.
“Freak” the women whispered. The baby looked up at her, he didn’t understand the words, but he did understand she didn’t like him. Nobody did.
“You are not human. I curse you; I curse you and hope you’ll be dead by tomorrow dawn. Freak.”

“Wake up stupid.” An angry voice woke Dixon from his sleep. “Wake up I said, wake up! The chores will not do themselves, if that’s what you think! Get UP!”
Every night he wished that when he woke up the next morning, he would be far far away, some place where no one knew him, where no one cursed him wherever he went. But he’s wish never came true. Every morning he woke up in his little scrub. Woke by an angry voice full of hate.
He did not understand why everyone hated him so badly, it had always been like that, since the day he could think by himself.
He sighed, but heaved up and rose with another sigh. He’s aunt was already in the kitchen again but he knew she would come back in a moment if he wasn’t there in just a few seconds, so he got dressed and walked slowly out of the scrub. It was a day just like all others and it didn’t felt better than it used to.
He fastened his steps just as his aunt, more angrily than before, called his name with a yell.
“I’M COMING!” he screamed back to make her shut up. He was so tired, tired because he never got enough sleep, tired at everyone’s yelling and tired of that everyone treated him as a servant. Unfortunately, yelling at his aunt weren’t the best thing he could have done in that moment, because just when he screamed at her, his uncle came inside the door. His already red cheeks became even redder, but this time of anger.
“WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, YELLING AT YOUR AUNT LIKE THAT? HAVEN’T I TAUGHT YOU ENOUGH? DOES YOU WANT TO STAY IN THAT SCRUB THE REST OF YOUR USELESS LIFE?”
Dixon didn’t say anything, and that obviously made his uncle very angry.
“ARE YOU DUMB? I ASKED YOU A QUESTION YOU LITTLE PEACE OF HORSE DUNG!”
“ENOUGH! ENOUGH!” the words just flowed out of his mouth, there were nothing he could do to stop them.
His aunt and uncle stood flash stationary in surprised for a moment. Dixon took a deep breath. He couldn’t believe he finally did it.
“I’m leaving. I’m leaving to never come back again, and there is nothing you can do to stop me. You better learn how to wash yourself.” He didn’t gave them time to get their breath, he left the kitchen and did just stop to pick up his coat and boots, then he opened the door and left the garden.
